Selected from over 100 applications – one of 21 teams across Europe.
The CASSINI Accelerator is one of the EU’s most important funding programs for the New Space industry. For its seventh batch, 21 companies from 13 countries were selected and we are proud to be one of them. The fact that Marble Imaging from Bremen, with whom we are already working in a pilot partnership, was selected at the same time makes it even better. It reaffirms that we are on the right track and also shows Bremens strong position in the European Space Market, when it comes to innovative Startups.
Our goal for the program is to further advance our eo.engine, which enables European EO missions to reach a new level. Currently, a large portion of the software for each new mission is developed from scratch costing time and money, and often relying on non-European cloud infrastructure. The eo.engine provides a shared foundation, allowing teams to focus on what truly defines their mission. This saves our customers and partners time and money, while giving them a reliable and above all European mission backbone
The six-month program kicked off in May, with the first batch meeting taking place in Vilnius during the first week of June. We are using the time to further develop the eo.engine and deepen our network within the European space community. Workshops, coaching sessions and connections with fellow founders from all over the continent.
The Earth observation market currently has a volume of up to nine billion euros and continues to grow. While many players in this market are still finding their business model, we are building the infrastructure they will build on. CASSINI is for us the first lap in our race to provide Europe with tech stack for its future space missions and digital space sovereignty.
